Chicken Coop!

We have been working on the chicken coop for the last 2 weekends...well, mostly Shane has been working on it with help from my dad. Anyway, it is getting close to finished. It still needs a roof and a "front" door. The "egg door" in back and the door to the nesting area need to be attached, yet. And some other "little" things to finish it up. But I am VERY pleased with how it has turned out. We have nesting boxes for 6 hens and plenty of roosts for them. It has the enclosed "house" or nesting/roosting area along with the 6X6 foot enclosed (and predator safe) run. It will have wheels (one of those things we need to do yet) that are removable to move it around the yard periodically. And it is light enough to be moved like a wheel barrow...even by me. Now I just can't wait for the chickens. Here are some pictures to get an idea of what it looks like.

I was able to see this in person. Shane, you have done a great job. Pretty cool you have built this from the ground up. The chickens will love it.
