Easter Celebration!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. Unfortunately, Shane had to work for a few hours on Saturday but we will just count our blessings and forget the other. We made Resurrection Cookies on Saturday night. They are a wonderful hands-on way to tell the story of Christ's death and resurrection. We used the recipe from this website... http://www.annieshomepage.com/resurrectioncookies.html. The boys did pretty well making them and they loved sealing up the oven with tape and then getting to eat a cookie for breakfast. They also were a good topic of discussion at lunch because they look really pretty and in that way we were able to talk about the story of Christ all throughout the day...so maybe the kids will remember a little of it.

We had Easter dinner here with my mom and dad and grandma. And of course, there were eggs to color and hunt and some gifts. We had a wonderful day! Below are some pictures of the big boys opening Easter baskets and egg hunting and Griffin watching the festivities.
