Above is the end of the house with the ground "tilled" to make it easier to dig. It didn't till that well but the digging went better than I expected.
In this mess of weeds are the hostas and bulbs that need moved...What a disaster!!!!! The red building in back will be torn down sometime this summer. I can't WAIT for it to be gone!!!
A few hours and a lot of sweat, the plants have a new home. I am going to stick a few bulbs that I have randomly around in there and mulch and put a rock border around them but I got them moved which was the big job. Well, that is one thing checked off my list. It felt good to get out there and get to work. I really do enjoy gardening and have pride in the way the front of the house is coming together. I am looking forward to getting to work on the back once we get the dirt work around the garage done. The boys thrive when we spend time outside and are getting big enough to let them just play while I do some work. I have never had flower beds worth anything even though I tried and today it occurred to me this is the first spring where I wasn't taking care of a little guy or pregnant...that makes a big difference!!!
To everything there is a season...and this season I get to plant and garden!!! :)
